Who We Are

NOAH’S ARK SANCTUARY
The Church began at Orchard Hall, Broadmead Road, Woodford Green on 3 June 2001.
The church’s name is taken from a man called Noah, who was instructed by God to build an ark. He obeyed and became God’s instrument in saving mankind from destruction.
The word Noah means rest; Noah’s father regarded him as one who should be the rest-giver and as one who should provide relief and comfort from the toil incurred by the curse of sin. Noah is a type of Christ today. Jesus is saying, “Come to me all who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). It is only through Christ that mankind will be preserved from God’s judgment to come (John 3:16).
Today, Noah’s Ark Sanctuary Church is God’s instrument. A place of rest, relief and refuge in Christ, from the storms of life, reaching out to you with God’s love. God’s plan for Noah’s Ark Sanctuary is to be a family of like minded people of different cultural backgrounds, ages and genders. We live in a multicultural society, God wants us to show the world that through Christ people of different races can fellowship together in spirit, unity and love.
